MATE worked for them for a couple of years... had a hellish time with them... chucked it in and became a courier...

Balder's I'm not a spark but am in the trade.For a reputable firm in a busy market I would allow about 5 k.I'm possibly a bit high.

Porters, just an idea, I don't know much about it, but I remember a thread on here about Taxi driving for Addison Lee. May not be what you want to do, but could help short term? I don't know if they need drivers. There is Uber also if you have your own vehicle or other small local minicab firms.

New extractor fan on it's own switch (Bathroom)
New double socket in daughters bedroom
New loft light and update cable
Repair outside security light (missing neutral)
all certified and signed off...

You could do worse than making yourself busy around an affluent area where there are a lot of extentions/refurbs going on.Builders are often short on labour and will take someone on there and then for someone that comes across as a grafter.

The need for HGV drivers is huge, there is a dearth of qualified drivers, the CPC has seen to that. Our company is shitting themselves, they daren't let anyone leave because they can't find replacements.

Try your local authority or find out which contractors do work for your local authority/housing associations nearby.
The demand for council houses never stops so the demand for workers doesn't either. And they all use sub contractors to turn around their relet properties ASAP - these companies never say no to the work for fear of losing the contract next time it's procured so they're often looking for extra bodies.
